Since January 2024, it has been decided by the municipality that the Individual and Family unit will form a joint operational area together with the Labor Market Unit and Social Psychiatry, called Individual, Family, and Work. Our operational area consists of four different units named Investigation and Follow-up, Support and Treatment, the Support and Employment Unit, and the Housing Unit.

In connection with the organizational changes, the unit has been engaged in ongoing development work aimed at reviewing how we work and how we can improve our approach and methods for those we serve. This means that you will join a group where there is room to grow, participate, and contribute to the development of how we will work going forward.

We are now looking for a therapist for the Support and Treatment unit who can work with both youth and adults.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We have implemented the Signs of Safety approach throughout our operational area to create a shared understanding and common stance towards those we serve. Therefore, you are expected to work based on this method together with clients and colleagues. As a therapist, you will work on behalf of the authority according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and/or the Care of Abusers Act (LVM). Under the new Social Services Act, this also includes interventions without needs assessment. Depending on the assignment, both targeted treatment interventions and support conversations with individuals, groups, and networks are included.

You will work individually with adult clients who are victims of violence, have substance abuse issues, and provide support to relatives, etc. The role also includes practical tasks together with the individual but not in a compensatory manner. Adult therapists work outreach as needed or when such assignments are formulated. As the executor of assignments, you are expected to document the interventions performed according to applicable legislation.

The working hours are scheduled for daytime but may include weekends and evenings.

You will receive external case supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for candidates with a degree in social work or other education deemed equivalent by the employer. We welcome applicants with relevant experience in both youth and adult treatment related to dependency and violence in close relationships. Relevant training includes ACRA, FFT, CRA, and ÅP. We use the documentation system Journal Digital, and experience with it is also considered an asset.

We expect you to have a humble approach towards clients and colleagues, making you perceived as open-minded. Furthermore, you should have good collaboration skills, resilience to stress, and the ability to handle complex situations, contributing to a good work environment. Since we are a small municipality, flexibility is important. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

A valid driver’s license (B) is required as you will be driving in your work.
